According to the statistics made by CAAM, in May, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 37 thousand units and 35 thousand units respectively, increasing 131.3% and 128.0% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 29 thousand units and 26 thousand units, increasing 177.0% and 161.6% year on year; and such figures for PHEV were both 9 thousand units, increasing 49.3% and 68.7% year on year.
        For the first five months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 132 thousand units and 126 thousand units respectively, increasing 131.4% and 134.1% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 99 thousand units and 92 thousand units, increasing 175.1% and 176.2% year on year; and such figures for PHEV were 33 thousand units and 34 thousand units, increasing 55.8% and 65.0% year on year.
