In May, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 293,000 and 299,000 units respectively, down 12.7% and 13% than that of last month. Comparing with last May, the production and sales were up 2% and 1.4% respectively. The commercial vehicles had been up on yearly basis for three successive months. As seen by type, the production and sales of buses were down 14.9% and 17.3% than the previous year. Such figures for trucks were up 5.3% and 5.2%.
        For the first five months, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 1,516,000 and 1,497,000 units respectively, up 0.9% and 2.3% year on year. As seen by type, the production and sales of buses were down 9.1% and 10.3% than the previous year. Such figures for trucks were up 2.7% and 4.7%.
        In May, the sales of trucks increased 5.2% than a year earlier, of which the heavy duty, medium and mini were up 25.4%, 13.7% and 25.2% respectively, while the light duty was down 9.7%.
