In August, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 268,000 and 276,000 units respectively, up 11% and 11.4% than that of last month. Comparing with last August, the production and sales were up 17.4% and 12%, keeping growth on yearly basis. As seen by type, the production and sales of buses were up 4.1% and down 3.3% than the previous year. For trucks, such figures were up 20.5% and 15.4%.
        For the first eight months, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 2,305,000 and 2,313,000 units respectively, up 4.2% and 3.5% year on year. As seen by type, the production and sales of buses were down 7.3% and 8.9% than the previous year. Such figures for trucks were up 6.5% and 5.9%.
        In August, the sales of trucks increased 15.4% than a year earlier, of which the heavy duty, medium, light duty and mini were up 44.2%, 23.0%, 5.8% and 14.3% respectively.
