In August, the sales and production of automobiles witnessed grow than that of last month. Comparing with the same period of last year, the sales and production continued to increase, of which the growth rates were more than 20% due to a relatively low contrast base. This month, the sales-output ratio reached 104.1%. The business inventories increased.
        This month, the production and sales of automobiles in China reached 1,990,000 and 2,071,000 units respectively, up 1.6% and 11.8% than that of last month, and also up 26.6% and 24.2% year on year, 35 percentage points and 27.2 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year.
        For the first eight months, the production and sales of automobiles were 16,846,000 and 16,755,000 units respectively, up 10.8% and 11.4% year on year, 11 percentage points and 11.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
