To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 147,000 units, down 27.2% year on year, accounting for 18.8% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 2.8 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 315,000 units, down 27% year on year, accounting for 49% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 7.7 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 76,000 units, down 26% year on year, accounting for 70.5% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 3.4 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
For the first five months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 3,335,000 units, down 23.4% year on year. The market share decreased 4.2 percentage points than the previous year, reaching 39.7%. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 809,000 units, down 19.2% year on year, accounting for 19.8% of the total sales of cars, with a decrease of 1.4 percentage points than a year earlier. The sales of Chinese brand SUV reached 1,919,000 units, down 25.3% year on year, accounting for 53.9% of the total sales of SUV, with a decrease of 6.9 percentage points than the previous year. The sales of Chinese brand MPV were 440,000 units, down 25.2% year on year, accounting for 76.8% of the total sales of MPV, with a decrease of 1.3 percentage points comparing with the same period last year.
