In February, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 1,140,000 and 1,219,000 units respectively, down 42.9% and 39.7% than that of last month, and down 20.8% and 17.4% year on year. The decrease rate was higher than the overall.

　　For the first two months, the production and sales of passenger cars were 3,137,000 and 3,243,000 units respectively, down 16.8% and 17.5% year on year. As for the passenger cars by type, comparing with the same period last year, all decreased more than 10%. The production and sales of cars were down 15.1% and 14.7% respectively. SUV also witnessed decline. Such figures were down 18.4% and 18.6%. For MPV, the production and sales were down 21.6% and 27.4%. For crossed passenger cars, the production was up 5.5%, while the sales down 22.1%.
