According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,689,600 units in December, increase 2.03% compared with last month, increase 1.38% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car sales were 1,368,900 units, a rise of 4.61 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle were 320,700 units, down 10.40 percent year on year.
        From January to December Chinese auto sales exceeded 18,505,100 units, a rise of 2.45 percent from a year earlier. Passenger car sales climbed 5.19 percent year on year to about 14,472,400 units; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 4,032,700 units, decrease 6.31 percent from a year earlier.
