In October, the production and sales of automobiles were 1,916,000 and 1,932,600 units respectively, down 0.6% and 0.2% than that of last month and up 20.7% and 20.3% year on year. For the first ten months, the production and sales of automobiles reached 17,854,400 and 17,815,800 units respectively, up 13.6% and 13.5% year on year. Their growth rates both enjoyed an increase of 0.8 percentage points comparing with the first nine months.
        After enjoying a sharp year-on-year increase in September, the growth continued to accelerate in October, showing the characteristics of peak season. Over 15% of increase for two consecutive months has made the accumulative growth reach the second high within the year.
