The auto export declined in 2013

According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export market in 2013 witnessed a decline. The export was 977,300 units, less than a million, down 7.5% year on year. Among the total, the export of passenger cars reached 596,300 units, down 9.8% year on year; and commercial vehicles were 381,000 units, down 3.5% from the previous year. For passenger cars in specific, except for cars, other types all increased. As for commercial vehicles, trucks suffered decline while buses enjoyed growth.
        According to customs data sorted out by CAAM, from January to November, the total export-import sum of auto products was 145.872 billion dollars, up 4.1% year on year. Among them, the import amount was 74.563 billion dollars, up 3.2% year on year; and the export was 71.309 billion dollars, up 5.2% year on year.
       For the first eleven months, the total import of automobiles was 1,073,400 units, up 1.8% year on year. Among them, the import of SUV was 455,000 units, up 8.7% year on year; cars were 383,900 units, down 8.5% year on year; small buses were 202,500 units, up 23% year on year. The import of the abovementioned three types reached 1,041,400 units, accounting for 97% of the total import.
        For the first eleven months, the total export of automobiles was 872,400 units, down 6.4% year on year. Among them, the export of cars was 387,600 units, down 14.7% year on year; trucks were 265,800 units, down 9.7% year on year; buses were 153,200 units, up 32.3% year on year. The export of the abovementioned three types reached 806,600 units, accounting for 92.5% of the total export.
        For the first eleven months, top ten countries of origins were Germany, Japan, America, Britain, South Korea, Mexico, Belgium, Slovakia, Canada and Sweden. The volume was 222,900 units, 210,900 units, 200,100 units, 108,100 units, 80,200 units, 59,800 units, 45,200 units, 40,500 units, 19,500 units and 16,200 units respectively. From January to November, the total imports from the abovementioned ten countries reached 1,003,400 units, accounting for 93.5% of the total imports. 
        For the first eleven months, top ten export destination countries were Algeria, Russia, Chile, Iran, Peru, Columbia, Egypt, Iraq, Uruguay and Ukraine. The volume was 112,100 units, 84,100 units, 71,600 units, 50,200 units, 37,300 units, 34,500 units, 32,200 units, 28,700 units, 28,500 units and 27,200 units respectively. From January to November, the total exports to the abovementioned ten countries reached 506,400 units, accounting for 58.1% of the total exports.
