In 2014, the production and sales of passenger cars were 19,919,800 and 19,700,600 units respectively, up 10.2% and 9.9% year on year, 2.9 percentage points and 3 percentage points higher than the overall growth. But comparing with last year, the growth rates of production and sales decreased by 6.3 percentage points and 5.8 percentage points respectively.
        As for the whole year by type, SUV and MPV significantly increased, both exceeding 30%, of which the production and sales of SUV were up 37.7% and 36.4%, and such figures for MPV were even up 49.4% and 46.8%. While the growth rates of the production and sales of cars both remained 3.1%. What’s worse, the production and sales of crossed passenger cars decreased by 20.6% and 18.1%.
