On May 10, the “International Forum on China Brand Development” was held in Shanghai Exhibition Center, jointly organized by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MOA), Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), State Administration for Market Regulation, National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Meanwhile, the series activities of “2019 Chinese Brands Day” officially kicked off with the open of the Forum.
Mr. Lin Nianxiu, the Deputy Director of NDRC, hosted the Forum. Mr. Li Qiang, the member of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Shanghai Municipal Party Secretary, Mr. Wang Yong, the State Councilor, and Mr. Meng Yang, the Deputy Secretary General of the State Council delivered important speeches.
Mr. Meng Yang, the Deputy Secretary General of the State Council, firstly read out the instructions from Premier Li Keqiang. Mr. Li Qiang, the Shanghai Municipal Party Secretary, delivered speech on behalf of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government to extend warm welcome for guests present and show determination to run this event well as the host.
Then, Mr. Wang Yong, the State Councilor, made an important speech. He fully confirmed the holding of Chinese Brands Day activities; summarized the development course of Chinese Brands; further specified the significance of improving brand competitiveness at the present stage; and made requests to next-step works.
The Forum also invited Professor Jiang Xiaojuan, the Standing Committee of NPC, the Vice Chairman of NPC Social Construction Committee, the Head of School of Public Policy & Management of Tsinghua University and the Chairman of Chinese Public Administration Society as well as Professor Hermann Simon, German famous management thinker and the father of “Hidden Champion” gave keynote speeches entitled on “Brands Construction and High-Quality Development” and “Chinese Brands Development Benefits People of the World-Brand Globalization”.
The experts and scholars from light industry, textile, automotive and electronic engineering as well as the representatives of brands enterprises participated in. As the representative of automotive industrial association and auto experience area in “2019 Chinese Brands Day”, Mr. Yao Jie, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM, was invited to attend this Forum.
