On June 18 to 21, CAAM Information Department held 2019 statistical work conference of key enterprises in Suzhou. More than 50 representatives from key enterprises attended the conference, including the provincial and municipal comprehensive units, auto manufacturers, parts enterprises, refitted vehicle manufacturers and motorcycle manufacturers. Mr. Shi Jianhua, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM, participated in and delivered a speech. Mr. Chen Shihua, the Secretary General Assistant of CAAM and the Director of CAAM Information Department, hosted the conference.
The conference aimed at asking for opinions on revision of reporting system, strengthening automotive industrial operation scheduling work, and preparing for the next step revision of system of filing statistical statements, improvement of related statistical works as well as enhancing industrial operation monitoring.

The main topics of the conference included the economic operating situation of the automotive industry in the first half, the situation of industrial statistical works and key tasks, the arrangement of a statistical survey on the usage of fluorine-containing gas in 2018, the research on setting up the platform for communication and scheduling among key enterprises, the document study of NBS (No: Guo Tong Zi [2019] 54), the opinion collection on revision of reporting system and the discussion on industrial operation.
Mr. Shi Jianhua, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM, firstly introduced the overall operating situation in the first five months, of which the influencing factors, developing trends and this year’s market trend were analyzed in detail. For the first five months, affected by the downturn of macro economy and the early implementation of China 6 in some regions, the sales and production ran in a low position, characterized by weak market consumption, inadequate consumer confidence and apparent wait-and-see mood. With the increasing of China 6 qualified models into market and the results of a series of policy measures including tax cuts and fee reductions, China’s auto market is expected to stabilize.

Mr. Chen Shihua, the Secretary General Assistant of CAAM and the Director of CAAM Information Department, carried out in-depth discussion with the representatives present on MIIT document Notice on Strengthening the Automotive Industrial Operation and Scheduling. He suggested to build a monthly production and sales data exchange platform for key enterprises with Top 10 jointly participation and led by CAAM Information Department.

Ms. Li Hong, the Director Assistant of CAAM Information Department, reported the work completion of the first half and the key tasks of the next half. She carried out discussion with the representatives on revision of CAAM statistical reporting system. Besides, Ms. Li Hong introduced the objectives, basis and content of the survey on the usage of fluorine-containing gas in 2018 that assisted MEE; and arranged the report forms. At last, the representatives exchanged their views on CAAM data information system construction and industrial operation situation.
