On Apr. 16, CAAM held the Third Session of the 8th Member's Representative Assembly and Council Enlarged Meeting in Shanghai. Near 350 representatives attended the meeting, including the chairman unit, vice chairman units, standing council units, council units, other member units, CAAM branches, parts bases, related local auto associations and some corporate leaders.

　　The representatives were informed the industrial operation situation and relevant policies; reviewed the main works of CAAM carried out in 2018 and the situation of membership fees in 2017 and 2018.

　　The meeting mainly reviewed two proposals: “Change of the Head of CAAM the 8th Council” and “Revision on CAAM Membership Fee Standard and Method”, by secret ballot for on-site approval.

　　Besides, the meeting also approved five proposals concerning the appointment of the secretary general of the 8th Council, the delayed transition of the 8th Council, the adjustment of Council members, the establishment and change of CAAM branches as well as the absorption and expulsion of CAAM members by show of hands. The meeting successfully completed each agenda, reaching the expected goals.

　　Mr. Fu Bingfeng, appointed as the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM, delivered a speech. First of all, he thanked the leaders from rotated chairman unit, council units, members and authorities for their trust; also Mr. Dong Yang and his secretariat team for the contributions to the automotive industry over the past decade and solid foundation had been built for CAAM. The tremendous achievements in China automotive industry since the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up cannot achieve without the efforts of the former industrial leaders and a few generation people in auto circle. He stressed that in future, the secretariat would continue to carefully study and deeply understand Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to give full play to the guiding and driving role of our policies to open the way for industrial innovation and development under the correct leadership of related authorities, to study in-depth the development rules of industrial change in new era to offer solutions for industrial healthy development under the direct leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Zhu Yanfeng, to actively undertake the glorious and arduous mission to jointly construct the harmonious auto society under the support and guidance of our members and the concern of the society. He hoped that all members could continue to give support and help to the work of the association. CAAM would keep pace with the times to constantly improve its management system and service quality, to actively play the role of bridge and link, so that to offer better advice and services in the construction of auto power.

　　The meeting fully confirmed the works done by the secretariat over the past year; and wished the association and the secretariat, under the leadership of the Council, could work together with members to support each other to continue to write a new chapter for the development of the association and the industry and bring the industry to contribute more to the country and nation.
