Mr. Dong Yang, executive vice chairman and secretary general of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), and Mr. Du Fangci, assistant Secretary General of CAAM attended OICA general assembly in New Delhi during October 21 to 22, 2010. Representatives from 24 countries attended the meeting.
During the OICA Council Meeting, Mr. Dong Yang said that 2011 OICA China Forum will be held in China 2011 by CAAM under the guidance of the OICA. The purpose of the forum was creating a new platform, promoting bilateral or multilateral communication and cooperation of world's automotive industry.
A Round Table conference about CO2 and Climate change held in the afternoon. The meeting introduced the States on the CO2 emission reduction measures, the Government's point as well as national policies in the transport sector.

During the general assembly, Mr. Dave McCurdy, chairman of OICA announced the formal approval that promoting the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers from non-permanent Council member to the permanent Council members, and Mr. Dong Yang thanks for all the support.
