Mr. Dong Yang, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), Mr. Ye Shengji, Deputy Secretary General, and Mr. Du Fangci, consultant of CAAM, met with the president of Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing (China) Co., Ltd (TMEC) Mr. Tadashi Yamashina, Beijing Branch General Manager of TMEC Mr. Ito Shinichi, and Secretary of FAW Mrs. Xu Yanhua, etc on Mar 1st.
        Mr. Dong Yang firstly confirmed the leading position of Prius in hybrid vehicles and introduced China’s development plan of lithium battery. He expressed some suggestions on the lithium battery development and briefly introduced the current technology state of lithium battery in China.
        Mr. Tadashi Yamashina introduced development situation of the third generation of Prius and Toyota’s strategic plan. He also expressed the positive attitude on the research and development of high performance battery of Toyota.

Mr. Ye Shengji and Mr. Du Fnagci had deep communications on the hybrid system and the technology of lithium battery.
         At last, Mr. Dong Yang gave some suggestions on Toyota’s development in China. He hoped Toyota could strengthen cooperation with FAW and communications with other JV brands in China to obtain more successful experience.
