The first meeting of joint association of duty truck manufacturers in 2012 was held on May 5, 2012. The Ministry of Industry and Information Department (MIIT), Ministry of Public Security, CAAM, and eight automobile enterprises including FAW Jiefang attended the meeting. 

In order to better implement the safety and environmental policies released recently, the delegations discussed the specific measures and requirements regarding to these policies and reached a consensus on how to better promote the policies implementation.

The delegations agreed that as a communication platform of duty truck enterprises, the joint association played a positive role in safeguarding the industry interest and promoting its health development. The platform should be made full use of so that it could play a greater role in the future.
