On the morning 10th Aug, 2012, Mr. Dong Yang (Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General), Mr. Shi Jianhua (Vice Secretary General) and Mr. Ye Shengji (Vice Secretary General) jointly met with Mr. Xiang Feng (the GM newly elected Vice President of Public Policy and Governmental Relations) and his party.
Firstly, the Vice President Mr. Xiang Feng introduced the sales situation of GM in the first half of this year in China. He said that GM attached great importance to the status of Chinese market. They would, as always, support those relative policies on new energy vehicles implemented by Chinese government as well as made their contributions on a steady development of Chinese economy.
Then, Mr. Dong Yang, Shi Jianhua and Ye Shengji introduced the development of CAAM, the situation of the sodality among foreign companies and the exchange meeting of Top 10 Electric Vehicles Alliance respectively. GM had exchanged views with Mr. Dong Yang, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General on new energy vehicles in the perspectives of industrial policies and limited purchasing. Mr. Dong Yang wished that GM could continue to keep a good relation with CAAM and strengthen each other’s cooperation in aspects of industrial policies and industrial development research so as to jointly push forward the sustainable development of Chinese automobile industry.
Finally, at the invitation of the Vice President Mr. Xiang Feng, the three secretaries of CAAM took test-drive of new GM’s Volt electric cars of 2012 with great interests.
