In accordance with enterprises require and the decision of international trade coordination committee made at 2012 Working Conference, CAAM organized a delegation to Brazil to make exchanges and trade consultation in auto industry. The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua served as head of the delegation. And representatives of some relevant enterprises (or departments) like Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports of Ministry of Commerce and FAW Car Limited Corporation jointly attended the visit.
The delegation visited many cities, like Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Rio, etc. During the visit, they had a series of activities, including industrial exchanges, trade consultations and market researches.

Brazil Trade and Industry Department attached great importance to the visit of the delegation. Their Director of Automobile Bureau Mr. Paul met with the delegation himself. He introduced the general situation of Brazil auto market as well as gave a detailed explanation and analysis on the influences of the policy of “Imposto de Produtos Industrializados” (IPI) on business activities in Brazil. Correspondently, the delegation introduced the current situation of China’s auto industry and the main functions of CAAM. Besides, they pointed out some problems and appeals that Chinese enterprises met when entering into Brazilian market. Mr. Paul promised that they would carefully study the opinions raised by the delegation and wished to keep a regular communication with CAAM.
