With “Innovation for Better Life” as its theme, the 15th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition was opened at Shanghai New International Expo Center on April 20th.
On April 22nd, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang and the Deputy Secretary General Ms. Xu Yanhua visited the exhibition.
With the theme of "Innovation for Better Life," Auto Shanghai 2013 not only was a testament to the innovative developments of China’s automotive sector, but also demonstrated how modern automobiles were focusing on new technologies and environmental protection, rewarding drivers and their passengers with an enhanced lifestyle.
The exhibition expanded to all 17 indoor exhibition halls and outdoor booths of the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with a cover of 280,000 square meters. For the event schedule, the organizers had decided to shorten media days to one day since most of the auto manufacturers used to hold new vehicles release presses at the first day of the media days. Therefore, Media Day would take place on April 20th, opening for both domestic and foreign Medias.
In order to let visitors enjoy an ample time, the organizers had adjusted the exhibition time, adding a day than before. Namely, the time would be April 21st to April 29th, among which April 21st and 22nd were for trade visitors, while the rest were for the public.
Auto Shanghai 2013 was characterized by:
1)Unprecedented scale of international exhibitors and continuous enlarging new brands
