On April 20th, 2013, the Second Session of the Seventh Member’s Representative Assembly and Council Enlarged Meeting was held in Shanghai. Nearly 400 representatives attended this meeting, including chairman unit, vice chairman units, executive council members, council members and some ordinary members. The meeting was hosted by the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang.

Mr. Zhang Tao, Deputy Director of the State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Mr. Li Yong, Deputy Director General of Civil Organization Bureau of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Mr. Xue Yiping, Executive Vice Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Mr. Dong Yang delivered the Report on the Work of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (hereinafter referred to as the Report). The Report fully explained the work of the association in 2012, covering four aspects, namely serving industry, serving government, serving members and self-construction.
On the meeting, the Deputy Secretary Mr. Ye Shengji read out six proposals and also made detailed explanations, including Outline on Development Strategy Plan of CAAM (2013-2018).

Participants in the meeting seriously discussed, deliberated and adopted the abovementioned proposals.
Finally, the Chairman of CAAM Mr. Xu Jianyi summarized the meeting and delivered a speech entitled “Working with Exploration and Innovation to Create a New Ground for Automotive Industry”.

He pointed that the year of 2012 witnessed great efforts of the Secretariat. They had made fruitful achievements in many aspects, including offering services, safeguarding the interests of the industry and enterprises, strengthening self-construction and enhancing serving ability and standard. In 2012, CAAM fully played the role of a bridge among different manufacturers and gained acceptance and highly praise both inside and outside the industry.
