On the afternoon of Jul. 26th, 2013, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Dong Yang and the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Ye Shengji jointly met with the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Cummins Dr. John Wall, the Vice President of China Area and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Peng Lixin and their party.

Mr. Dong Yang firstly welcomed their visit and introduced the main work of CAAM at present. In the subsequent communication, Mr. Dong Yang and Dr. John Wall discussed the differences between European emission standards and Chinese emission standard on the fourth phase as well as introduced the rigid stance of Chinese government on the control of vehicle emissions. Besides, Mr. Dong Yang presented the situation of C8 meeting and its significance to the benign development of Chinese commercial vehicles. Furthermore, both sides carried on deep exchanges on the prospects of natural gas vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles.
    Finally, Dr. John Wall thanked Mr. Dong Yang for his warm reception. Both CAAM and Cummins expressed their willingness to carry out regular communications. The Cummins side showed their eager desire to participate in various activities organized by CAAM to jointly promote the healthy development of Chinese auto industry.
    Besides, the Director of Industry Development Department Mr. Li Shaohua, the Deputy Director of Technology Department Mr. He Peng, the Business Manager of Technology Department Mr. Zhai Yu, and the Manager of International Cooperation Department Mr. Zhang Lin accompanied to attend the meeting.
