The 18th Dalian International Automotive Exhibition was opened at Dalian World Expo Center on August 21st, which was jointly organized by CAAM, Dalian Municipal People’s Government, etc. The Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua attended the opening ceremony and visited the auto show.

During the visit, Mr. Shi Jianhua accepted an interview. He noted that the macro-economy in China had made progresses in stability, thus building a sound environment for the development of the automotive industry. The construction of urbanization, in particular, directly helped expand space for the auto market.
Besides, this exhibition shared the following characteristics:
        1. Unprecedented presence with luxury cars gathered
        2. Major domestic auto manufacturers gathering with all-round display of Chinese brands
        3. New models publicized centrally with overwhelmed wonderfulness
        4. Show for media and VIPs for the first time with simple opening ceremony
        5. Combination of exhibition and sales with a number of preferential measures adopted, which altogether 59669 vehicles were sold in the previous seventeen years
        6. Close to the public with strong auto culture
        7. Further strengthening publicity and receiving considerable concerns both at home and abroad
