Jointly organized by CAAM, Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province and Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, 2013 China (Zhengzhou) Automotive and Auto Parts Meeting on Industrial Transfer and Linkup was held at Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of August 22nd. Some leaders were invited to attend the meeting and deliver speeches, including the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua, the Vice Governor of Henan Province Mr. Zhang Weining, etc.

In his speech, Mr. Shi Jianhua expressed that Henan could catch the opportunity to carry on industrial transfer, which was not only an important way to rapidly expand the scale of automotive industry, enrich its product varieties and improve the product quality, but also a necessary mean to push forward the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure in Henan Province. He hoped this meeting could mobilize all positive factors to guide the transformation and upgrading of automotive industrial structure in Henan Province. Hence, the automotive industry in Henan Province could reach a new stage. Besides, he expressed that CAAM will fully serve as a bridge and bond between government and enterprises to support the development of Henan auto parts industry, so as to help Henan auto parts industry build a pattern characterized by its chain stretching up and down and matching facilities well-developed.
        The Deputy Director-General of Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province Mr. Zhang Zhenyu said that currently, the automotive industry in Henan Province not only formed an industrial cluster of millions of vehicles represented by Yutong Bus, Zhengzhou Nissan, Haima cars, Dongfeng Nissan and Shaolin automobile, but also witnessed a rapid development of auto parts industry with its own brand and characteristics. For example, many auto parts had enjoyed a certain industrial scale as well as a share in domestic market, including auto tire and cylinder liner made in Jiaozuo, transmission shaft and vehicle-use glass made in Xuchang, auto bearing and lithium-ion battery made in Luoyang, steering device and brake made in Xinxiang, water tank and hub made in Anyang, intake & exhaust manifold and absorber made in Nanyang, auto harness and plug connector made in Hebi, etc.
