“Automotive Wheel Steel Technology Seminar” was held in Shanghai Zhongdian Building on Sep. 25th, which was organized by Wheel Committee of CAAM. A total of 40 people attended the meeting, including wheel manufacturers, iron and steel enterprises, trade companies, scientific research institutes and other relevant leaders and experts.

The Director of Zhengxing Wheel Group Co., Ltd Mr. Ning Yuncheng, the Manager of Sunrise Group Mr. Jiang Wanbiao, and the General Manager of Shandong Tongli Steel Wheel Co., Ltd Mr. Wang Wenshan respectively introduced the problems encountered in the process of production and research & development of each company, especially problems of high-strength steel in use. Meanwhile they put forward some suggestions for iron and steel enterprises. Besides, four experts from Magang (Group) Holding Co., Ltd, Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, Baosteel Group Corporation, and Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd respectively introduced their research in wheel steel and achievements. At the same time, they posed some difficulties and expressed their willingness to cooperate and research with wheel enterprises. The Chief Engineer of Yineng Company Mr. Shen Yongliang introduced the principle of butt welding, influences of chemical components on the quality of welding and foreign steel incoming inspection method in detail, as well as proposed some suggestions to the wheel and steel enterprises. His proposal received unanimous approval and favorable comments by the delegates.
