On Sep. 16th to 18th, 2013, the enterprises management committee of CAAM held the field training of “TPS lean improvement activities” in Hefei WAL Fuel Systems.
        “TPS lean improvement activities” was an important part of the “Enterprise Management Promotion Plan” initiated by the enterprises management committee of CAAM. Toyota Boshoku was invited to form a lean-management expert team with the enterprises management committee to offer free consultations for the enterprises. This activity aimed to impart lean production inherited by Toyota Boshoku and Toyota Group for a hundred year, so as to help Chinese automotive industry to improve management level and production efficiency.

On the start ceremony, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Li Jingsheng pointed out that after 60 years of development, Chinese automotive industry has become a leading auto producer, yet still far away with the world advanced level in terms of production efficiency and product quality. CAAM was an organization to serve for those auto-related enterprises. Based on this, CAAM should try his best to help those enterprises from their practical demand and actual situation in fields of policy research and enterprise management.

The General Manager of Toyota Boshoku China Mr. Yamamoto said that as a company set up for nearly a century, Toyota Boshoku has successively established nearly a hundred enterprises worldwide. This invitation to guide lean improvement was an important way to fulfill corporate social responsibility in China. Therefore, Toyota Boshoku would send its best experts to cooperate with CAAM to carry out guiding activities. He hoped that this activity could get strong support by each trainee and their respective leaders so as to achieve our common goals.

The general manager of Hefei WAL Fuel Systems, also the first resident coach enterprise Mr. Shi gave a speech on behalf of those participated enterprises. At present, Chinese enterprises faced various management problems. Some enterprises just pursued immediate interests and desperately wanted to change the current situation, but completely don't know where to start. This activity jointly organized by CAAM and Toyota Boshoku was no doubt a rare opportunity for such enterprises. We trusted the guiding team. Mr. Shi expressed that WAL would grasp this opportunity to not only solve the existing problems but also constantly enhance the management level and competitiveness, with the help of the guiding team.
        During the communication section, the trainees raised the problems encountered in the process of TPS. As for such, the leaders and experts answered seriously, and further introduced the related knowledge as well as matters needing attention.
