On Mar. 4th to 8th, 2014, the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua, the Secretary of Executive Vice Chairman Mr. Zhang Lin, and the Business Manager of International Cooperation Department Ms. Liu Zheng went to Geneva to attend OICA council meeting, visited Geneva auto show as well as met with the officials from World Economic Forum. They were the Director of Automotive Industry Mr. Alex Mitchell and the Senior Manager of Automotive Industry Mr. Philipp Salyer.

OICA Council Meeting

As the only international organization and representative of global auto manufacturers, OICA is made up of by auto manufacturers all around the world. Now, the organization’s membership comprises 37 national trade associations around the world including all major automobile manufacturing countries. Each March, CAAM, as one of its permanent council members, would attend its OICA council meeting held in Geneva to discuss issues concerning industrial development, technological trends and international auto shows as well as acquire the latest auto-related data.
        On the meeting, the delegation introduced the situation and trends of Chinese auto market. Besides, they also informed information about 2014 China Auto Forum. This year, the Forum would be held in Beijing on April 21st to 22nd. Other OICA members were invited to attend this great occasion.
        After the meeting, the delegation visited Geneva auto show.

Mr. Shi Jianhua visited Qoros’ stand

On Mar. 7th, the delegation met with Mr. Alex Mitchell and Mr. Philipp Salyer from World Economic Forum. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation during 2014 China Auto Forum. Through hot discusses, the two sides reached several agreements concerning next step works.
