CAAM Held Self-Discipline Symposium for Special Vehicle Production Base in Beijing

In accordance with a series of violations exposed by a CCTV program called Weekly Quality Report occurring in a branded special vehicle production base (not awarded by CAAM), like illegal modification, illegal certificate trade, CAAM carried out self-discipline activities within its awarded production bases and held a special symposium in Beijing on June 20th. The representatives from Liangshan and Tieling bases as well as the related staff of CAAM attended the symposium. The meeting was hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Ye Shengji.
        He firstly introduced the current situation of automotive industry and the background for this symposium. He expressed that the exposed production base had brought considerable negative impacts for the society. To prevent such illegal behaviors occurred in CAAM-awarded bases, it was necessary to carry out self-discipline activities for self-examination and correction, so as to push forward the sustainable development of special vehicles.

The representatives from Liangshan and Tieling bases introduced each development and self-discipline situation. They all expressed they would do well in self-examination and correction to ensure the healthy development of the whole industry. At the same time, they posed some suggestions for CAAM on base management.
