On Aug 14th, 2014, the publicizing meeting on “Environmental Standards Supervision Plan on Newly Produced Vehicles” was held in Beijing. Near 60 representatives attended the meeting, including MIIT, MEP, CAAM and representatives from 18 truck manufacturers. They were Beiqi Foton, FAW JIEFANG, FAW-GM, Dongfeng Trucks, Shaanxi Automobile Group, SINOTRUK, SAIC-IVECO HONGYAN, JAC, NAVECO, JMC, Qingling Motors, Shandong KAMA Automobile Manufacturing, Shenyang Jinbei, Shandong Tangjun Ouling, Sichuan Hyundai Motor, Shandong Wuzheng Group and Shifeng Group.
Organized by CAAM and co-organized by Beiqi Foton, the meeting was hosted by the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang.
On the meeting, the Director of Department of Pollution Prevention and Control of MEP Mr. Wang Tao explained the background, main contents and requirements of the Supervision Plan. He emphasized that the supervision will be a joint action of the five national ministries and will cover the whole process from test, production, sales to registration for new vehicles. The environmental standards supervision for newly produced vehicles has incorporated into daily supervision.
The Sub-Inspector of Department of Industry Policy of MIIT Mr. Yu Yongbo made demands to manufacturers from the perspective of industrial management. He asked them to attach great importance to meeting environmental standards when producing new vehicles. MIIT will strengthen announcement management and take production conformity supervision as a firm grasp. He wished those manufacturers could change their views to treat meeting environmental standards as their new opportunity for future development.
The enterprise representatives showed their attitudes to carry out Supervision Plan in a serious way. They also expressed their opinions and offered suggestions on technical routes, oil quality, AdBlue supply and statistical caliber.
The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang and the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Li Wanli posed some advice and suggestions on governmental supervision.
