On Nov. 21st, organized by CAAM and co-organized by Chinese Brand Auto Alliance, the press conference of the 1st circuit exhibition of new energy vehicles among purchasing restricted cities was held. The Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang, together with two deputy secretaries general Mr. Shi Jianhua and Ms. Liu Xiaomiao, participated in the conference.
For Chinese new energy vehicles, the year of 2014 was the first year to start mass production and industrialization. This year witnessed its transfer from the concept car in auto show to the real one into the market and consumer’s hand. In this regard, the sales rose rapidly. According to the statistics made by CAAM, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in the first half reached 20692 units and 20477 units, increasing 2.3 times and 2.2 times year on year. It’s estimated that the sales and production of new energy vehicles would exceed 50 thousand units, 3 times of last year. Many big auto groups realized market sales, of which “Qin” and E6 of BYD enjoyed a really good performance. Moreover, international leading brands, like BMW and Tesla introduced their electric vehicles into domestic market one after another.
In accordance with Guidance on Accelerating the Popularization and Application of New Energy Vehicles issued by the State Council, new energy vehicles enjoyed purchase tax exemption as of September 1st. Following falling prices, more and more restriction exemptions on new energy vehicle purchasing offered a new choice for consumers in those car purchasing restricted cities.
To follow this tide, CAAM and other organizers would call on related manufacturers to participate in “The 1st Circuit Exhibition of New Energy Vehicles among Purchasing Restricted Cities”. The first exhibition would choose restricted cities as its exhibiting destinations, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Guiyang and Shijiazhuang. In future, the exhibition would expand to those pilot cities, like Changchun, Hefei, Shenzhen, Yantai, Chongqing, Dalian, Jinan, Wuhan, Changsha, Kunming, Nanchang, Haikou, Suzhou, Xiamen, Tangshan, Ningbo, Qinhuangdao, Shijiazhuang, etc.
