On April 27th, the 14th ITS Asia Pacific Forum was opened in Nanjing. Initiated by 14 countries in Asia-Pacific region, the forum was held annually among the initiators in turn. This year, China took over as the host country. The theme of the forum was “Transferable, Connectable and Sustainable”. Invited by the organizing committee, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang attended the forum and delivered a speech entitled on “Connected Vehicles----Digital Transformation of Automotive Industry”.
In his speech, Mr. Dong Yang explained the future innovations would happen in automotive sector and the digital transformation on the way in this field from three perspectives, namely, the deepen integration of automobiles and information technology, the urgency of developing connected vehicles in China and the coordination among government, industry and enterprises. Mr. Dong Yang expressed that Chinese automotive industry would treat connected vehicles as one of the key paths to build auto power, hence would coordinate with domestic and foreign industries related in an open manner, e.g. communication and ITS, to jointly push forward the intelligent process and the development of auto society.
