On July 15th, led by the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang, the leaders of CAAM went to FAW to investigate, including the Deputy Secretaries General Mr. Shi Jianhua, Ms. Xu Yanhua, Ms. Liu Xiaomiao, Mr. Li Wanli and Mr. Yao Jie, the Secretary-General Assistant Mr. Xia Shengzhi and the Parts Department Mr. Pan Xufeng.
        Accompanied by the Deputy General Manager of FAW Mr. Wu Shaoming and the Director of China FAW Group Corporation R&D Center Mr. Li Jun, the delegation visited the R&D Center, Chinese brand vehicles, engines and transmissions as well as carried out test driving on connected vehicles.

Mr. Li Jun introduced the overall situation of the R&D Center and the issues concerning connected vehicles and R&D capacities of key technologies.

Mr. Dong Yang fully affirmed the efforts done by FAW in the development and manufacturing of Chinese brand. He also introduced the works carried out by CAAM to promote the Chinese brand. He wished FAW could continue to carry forward its spirit of “Study, Innovation, Fighting and Self-improvement” formed through the first three innovations to make steady headway in the fourth innovation marked by developing better and stronger self-owned brand, hence contributing to the advancement of Chinese brand.

The both sides carried out deep discussions on hot issues of “China Manufacturing 2025” and connected vehicles as well.

During investigation, the leaders of CAAM made communications with Mr. Xu Ping, the Chairman and the Party Secretary of FAW, Mr. Xu Xianping, the Board Director, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of FAW and Mr. Qin Huanming, the Deputy General Manager and Member of the Standing Committee of FAW.
        The Deputy Director of MIIT Ms. She Weizhen, the leaders of CAICT and representatives from Top 10 OEMs also attended this investigation.
