On the afternoon of Dec. 7th, the thirteenth sodality of foreign auto companies in China was held in Beijing. Organized by CAAM and co-organized by Volkswagen China, over 50 representatives from 20 foreign auto companies attended this meeting, including Daimler, Volkswagen, GM, Toyota, BMW, FORD, Hyundai, NISSAN, etc. Some leaders also participated in, which were the Director of Department of Industry of NDRC Mr. Wu Wei, the Director of ACEA Mr. Zhang Shuo and the Executive Vice Chairman of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang. The meeting was hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of CAAM Mr. Shi Jianhua.
Meeting Site
The sodality of foreign auto companies in China had entered into the 8th year since founded in 2008. Focusing on hot topics and issues of most concern within the industry, the meeting strengthened communication and relations among government, enterprises and association. Hence, the sodality was well received and welcomed by the companies related.
Mr. Dong Yang delivered a speech
Firstly, the Executive Vice Chairman of CAAM Mr. Dong Yang delivered a speech. Straight to the theme, he shared his views on oil consumption management and current emission standards of China VI and Beijing VI. He called for the State Council to strengthen coordination on the above issues. Besides, he urged to build EV annual check system to make sure the safety of electrical vehicles, especially the safety of batteries, so as to safeguard the interests of the consumers.
Mr. Zhang Suixin delivered a speech
The Executive Vice President of Volkswagen China Mr. Zhang Suixin, on behalf of the co-organizer, delivered a welcome speech. He thanked CAAM to build a communicating platform for those enterprises to let them reflect their opinions and suggestions to the government. As usual, he also briefed the current situation of Volkswagen.

The meeting mainly focused on the sixth phase emission standards and oil consumption management. Based on these two issues, the Director of Technology Department of CAAM Mr. He Peng gave a detailed introduction. He briefly analyzed the differences between China VI and Beijing VI as well.
