Zhejiang Geener Microelectronics Co., LTD. (Geener), an affiliate of Geely Technology Group, announced the completion of its Pre-A financing round, which was also the company’s first funding round. 

The fresh round was led by Walden International, and attracted other investors such as Vision Knight Capital, Gaorong Capital, Volfone Enterprises, and other institutions. According to Geener, proceeds from the round will be mainly used for R&D, production line construction, and building of technical team for power semiconductor modules.

Founded in June 2022, the young company focuses on the ongoing electrification across the auto industry. Taking the inverter power module as gateway, Geener is dedicated to developing automotive-grade IGBT chip and module, SiC device, medium and low voltage MOSFET, and other products through the combined ability of "chip design + module manufacturing + automotive-grade certification". The company’s products are used to serve multiple scenarios for carbon peak and carbon neutrality, including new energy vehicles, electric motorcycles, photovoltaic, energy storage, and others.

Pan Yunbin, CEO of Geener, disclosed that the company will have several products installed onto vehicles next year.
