JAC Group saw a decline in its September domestic auto sales, while its overseas export volume and electric vehicle sales had outstanding results.
The group reported a total of 41,885 passenger and commercial vehicles sold in September, decreasing 6.57% from the previous year. For the first nine months this year, the sales volume of the group accumulated to 396,516 vehicles, up 19.22% from the same period of last year.
In September, JAC Group sold 23,331 passenger vehicles, surging 50% year on year. With 18,760 vehicles sold, the group’s SUV sector doubled its monthly sales volume from a year ago. The MPV and sedan sectors witnessed a decline in September sales, with sedan sales plummeting 40.14% year on year.
The automaker’s commercial vehicle sector saw a year-on-year decline of 36.59% in monthly sales to 18,554 vehicles.
However, with 14,400 vehicles sold, JAC Group’s battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sector soared 162.92% year on year in September. Its year-to-date BEV sales accumulated to 90,093 vehicles, almost tripled from a year ago.
The export volume of the automaker amounted to 9,529 vehicles, more than doubled (by 131.23%) versus 2020.
